The Horse Retirement Home employs only the most knowledgeable, dedicated and compassionate of horse care professionals. The Horse Retirement Home is monitored 24/7 every day of the year. There is an elaborate video surveillance system that overlooks the show barn and pastures for maximum safety and security. The horses are treated as individuals and our staff learns the idiosyncrasies and characteristics of each horse in order to immediately distinguish any behavioral changes that may occur as a result of illness.

Staff members are required to treat the elderly horses with the utmost kindness, dignity and respect. Most horses that come to the Horse Retirement Home are horses that are viewed as family by their loving owners, and we do our best to make the horses feel as part of our family and treat them exactly the way that you would want them to be treated. Horses are never reprimanded with force of any type and we employ people who truly love the horses and enjoy their position here at the Horse Retirement Home working with elderly horses.
