II. The Facility

The Horse Retirement Home is conveniently located on a main road in an area of upscale horse farms just 7 miles from I-75 and minutes from the prestigious H.I.T.S. show grounds in N.W. Ocala. Our farm is neighbored by a nationally known equine veterinary clinic, well respected farriers and horse farms. Feel at ease knowing that none of our pastures have road frontage and our property is fully fenced and gated.

Our 40 acres is divided into large lush pastures filled year round with premium Bahia grass which retired horses have access to 24 hours a day. Aging equines spend their afternoons napping under huge Granddaddy oaks, grazing in the lush pastures, or wading in the specially designed cooling pond. Each pasture has a fully enclosed and divided sun shelter that can safely and comfortably accommodate multiple horses.

The beautiful show barn boasts high ceilings, 12’ x 16’ stalls, large feed and tack rooms, covered wash areas and rubber mats throughout. The guest lounge has a full kitchen, full bath and covered patio.. The owner lives on premises in one of the two residences on the farm and the show barn has an elaborate security camera system installed for continuous monitoring.
